God knows how long it's been since I've escaped the buried hull of ISV-Kran, but things haven't been turning for the bright side since than, that's for sure.
I've travelled over numerous facilities and explored numerous lands of this planet, but I still haven't been able to find one stinking survivor, let alone
a ride off this rock. All I find are log files left behind by bodies, all telling the same, familiar story in a different way.

It seems that the recent "news" of a human survivor escaping this planet are actually true...the Skaarj are really pissed off, searching every possible
hideout, locking down their paramiters, doubling the watch, killing all in their way... Mhm, thinking about it, it's been that way since I came here...
Still, I was lucky enough to escape a patrol today, have I stayed in in the the cave an hour longer I would have been dead. Good news is that I finally
found some fresh water supplies, some medipacks and some ammunition for my Automag... not that it can do much of a difference in a fire fight anyway.

I've found a Nali hideout hidden in a crater-like canyon, covered with lush. No wonder the Skaarj still haven't found it. They offered me a place to spend
the night and some food in exchange for some help with fixing a boat... heh, I think I'll sleep well tonight.

Go figure. The Skaarj attacked the hideout in the middle of the night, I escaped with a little help of a Nali, poor bastards. Also, it seems that I've lost
most of my inventory, along with my weapons. My dispersion pistol is all that I have now, may God be at my side.

I've found a human survivor, somehow. He looks pretty banged up. I've given him some medicine made by Nali and some bandages, but I don't think it'll
help a lot. Keeps on babbling on about some ancient predecestors... guess he misses his grandma even more than I do.

We've been hiding in this abandoned mine shaft for two days now, the guy seems to be getting better... physically at least. He says his name is Sean,
part of Vortex Rikers' prisoner watch section #3674.290.76/8:974,6; part blah blah... or something. He says his comrades went ahead of him to scout for
food - a week ago. Only one returned after approximatelly three days, utterly confused, babling on about who knows what. He brought a big, old book
with him, said to be the source Nali's magical powers. He died a couple of hours later after pulling his yaw off and shooting himself in the head.
So I was told anyway. Sean seemed to have read a part of the book, but he's unable to explain why he went ahead and burned the damn thing. I'll try to get
more out of him tomorrow.

Sean disappeared! I only took a short nap and he was gone, disappeared without a trace. He only left a message written in the sand floor, which is rather
hard to read. It says something about him going to the mine entrance and searching for the device that teleports the Nali to the lands of "The Ancients".

I wonder when It's my turn to go mad.

Unexplicably, I've decided to try and find the poor guy, but as most of my decisions, this was an utterly stupid one as well. I found the mine entrance,
but it was heavily guarded by brute partol, and Sean's body was left hanging upside down some 3 meters above the entrance. To make the situation worse,
the cave collapsed due to an earthquake, so I was stuck with no choice but to try and get past the brutes. I managed to take one down, but the second one
was too much for me. I tried escaping but the floor under my feet gave in. It seems there was a rather unstable grate over a ventilation shaft, covered with
a thin layer of moss, just waiting for a victim to step on it. Luckily I didn't break anything, I'm left only with some minor scratches.
Bad thing is that I'm trapped in a Skaarj mine just when I was supposed to try and avoide Skaarj patrols...

Eh, if I get out of this alive, I promise to give up space exploration.
