STORY

Your freighter was passing through an uncharted planetary system when it was attacked. There were bleeps on your scanners, and suddenly three Mercenary craft soared up from the surface of the planet below. You watched on the bridge view screen as the torpedoes flew towards your ship... then as the ship began to break itself apart, you fled to your escape pod. But as the pod left the ship, it was clipped by a piece of flying debris and you began to spin out of control towards the planet's surface...
With a *crash* you land in a small night-time valley. Time to explore, and hopefully find a way off this ball of rock you've landed on.

Build: UnrealEd 2.0 with Unreal Tournament v4.36
The Landing was a four-map UT SP pack I was working on before I dropped the project. This pack now contains three fully functional maps which are worth a look even if they lack that Unreal "magic".
While you can run these maps under UT normally, I suggest downloading Oldskool Amp'd from http://www.unreality.dk/usaar33/ to run them with ease.
THESE MAPS WILL NOT OPERATE UNDER ORIGINAL UNREAL, RETURN TO NA PALI OR UNREAL GOLD

To run the maps in UT without OldSkool Amp'd:
-Enter "open thelanding1?game=unrealshare.singleplayer?difficulty=X" in the Unreal Tournament console where X is a number from 0 to 3 (0 = Easy, 1 = Medium, 2 = Hard, 3 = Unreal).
-If you want the UnrealTournament menus to have the Unreal menu functions available, you will have to start UT up with the map i.e. by double-clicking on it from My Computer or Windows Explorer, or by launching it with a command line. You will also need to use your advanced options screen ("Preferences" in console) or user.ini file to set up keys for the following commands:
-ActivateTranslator
-InventoryPrevious
-InventoryNext
-InventoryActivate
Also, in your UnrealTournament.ini, find the line SavePath=../Save and change it to SavePath=..\Save

TECHNICAL ISSUES

No major bugs are known. I even eliminated the "Black Tree Bug" from the maps.

Umm, yeah, this is in no way related to Epic Megagames, Digital Extremes or GT Interactive etc etc, umm, you may put this on a distribution CD or up for download but make sure I get credit etc etc :-) . This is strictly free of charge must not be sold and so on. Hey, why are you reading this, you should be playing the pack by now (or at least starting UT).
