After several months of really hard work, I am proud to release my first Unreal Tournament
Capture the Flag map.
After "The Mirrors Of Death" and "In Hostile Waters" I needed a new challenge. That's why
I decided to create a CTF map. I wanted to do something really cool and therefore I started
with a few ideas which were all good, but far away of being "really cool". I thought about
an outside level from the beginning of this project with two different bases and the
mixture of an ancient style with some modern stuff (just like Unreal). So I got the idea
of a cathedral in an outside environment and a cavern through which you can reach the other
base which lies inside a huge cylinder. I read a few tutorials (yes, I still need them)
how to create complex brushes and started to work. After a really hard time I had the level
playable and it also looked really cool. But the bots were fucking stupid and the framerate
was simply not acceptable. So all I have done the last month was to improve the AI of the
bots and performance on my level. Now the bots act very(!) good and the map is playable on
a PIII 500 system with a Voodoo3, 128 MB RAM and a screen-resolution of 1280x1024 (right,
that's my PC). The reason why this map is version 0.99 is simple: I might improve
the framerate a bit more and release it again... but don't expect me to do this very soon!

Well, that's all for now...
Just let me say that I like this map very much and I hope that you'll enjoy it too!
