Thanx: Snoop &	Ro-Jaws, work colleagues who inadvertently did a bit of beta testing of this map for me
		during lunch times.

As you may infer from the title this map has been built using a fractal repetition pattern. It is not anything to do with Sierpinski (look up Sierpinski triangles and gaskets which are created in two dimensions [if that makes sense when referred to fractals!]). But his is the only name I knew who is associated with fractals whose patterns come close to this map (I think that viewed from certain angles it does look a bit like the triangular fractal pattern). The repetition pattern is one of my own design, although I am not saying that someone else may not have discovered it previously.

This is my first CTF map. It started out as a DM map but I converted it late on. I don't really know how well it plays as CTF, because it is not bot pathed. Also, the need to continuously jump everywhere may prove annoying. I did originally include the jump match mutator in the map but it makes it very hard for precision control (at least for me). I think item placement is key to a good map and I am not certain whether it could not have been done better.

The lighting has caused me some pain; I wanted to have a lot of light sources but in the end I had to use four light sources plus ambient lighting. Anymore than four light sources and Ed2 crashes/locks up. I guess the problem is the number of surfaces than need to be iluminated at once. Maybe if I had built the map block by block rather than building the map from sucessive volumetric subtractions.

Happy fragging.
