Unzip ctf-populous.zip

Store the *.unr file in your Unreal Tournament/Maps directory along with the others
(see guide below), then either doubleclick on it, or type

open CTF-Populous

in the console, or select the Map in a Botmatch or an Internet game.

Extended Description

--------------------

Futuristic/City theme. Two opposing buildings in a city. Sniping is an important
part of gameplay. Extensive use of billboards within the buildings with some of my
favorite singers on them. Regretfully, I have not yet recieved my Sting concert DVD
so I was unable to get a picture of him. Each base has two entrances. Bots usually
use secondary Red entrance and primary Blue entrance. First release, based on
CTF-Populous 1.0 . Any game played in this map is likely to last a long time due to
how well defended both bases are.

Author's Notes

--------------

I started this map before the WTC was destroyed, so this has absolutely nothing to
do with it. Though I did start this map with New York City in mind being that I live
pretty close to it. Before the destruction of the twin towers, I had considered
putting them, or something similar into this map, fortunately, I never did. The
bot-pathing in this map is better than any of my previous maps. The bases are
extremely well defended, but I assure you, BOTS ON BOTH TEAMS ARE ABLE TO STEAL AND
RETRIEVE THE OTHER TEAM'S FLAG. I made absolute certain of that. I have detected NO
problems in the bot-pathing. I can detect no bugs of any kind in this map. I tested
it more than any of my previous maps. 

This map incorporates a new style of architecture. I have decided I do not like the
common and appreciated architectual style of a few huge and detailed rooms. It is
unrealistic, and gets boring (Deck16 being an exception). So, I tried a more open
version of the hated Room-Corridor-Room style. It is an experiment, and many may not
like it, but one day we will have to get passed the horrible current styles.
