EXTENDED DESCRIPTION

As always, I am quiet for a long time and then build a map in a week. This time I thought it would be very cool to make a Japanese themed map, and CTF-Pagoda was the result. Never having been to Japan, the map was created entirely from my own general knowledge (and a photo of a Japanese building from Microsoft Encarta 96).

CTF-Pagoda is a level with two symmetrical towers, but they do not face each other like in a certain map whose name I shall not mention... oops I already did. Bases are two Japanese towers, between which you pass through the walled gardens. I wanted to put more detail in the gardens but couldn't for the sake of the framerate! It's a long trek across the map so make sure you're armoured up. Note, this map is high-poly in places, you'll have trouble if your PC uses a zimmerframe (build system P3-800 with 256Mb RAM & 32Mb GeForce2 running in Direct3d) but should be fine if you're running in Glide.

Bots know how to defend and sometimes get the flag. There are a couple of sticking points but I have minimised these where possible. If one of your teammates gets confused just hammer 'em up the ass - that gets 'em moving :). Bot issues of this kind do not significantly affect the gameplay and resolve themselves if unnoticed for a little while.
