Extended Description

--------------------

CTF-Connectivity[iG] is my (Omnipolex) first attempt at mapping for CTF. The two previous maps that I managed to complete were Monster Hunt maps. I learned a lot about triggers, actors, brushes, and other general information with uED2.0 while mapping MH, so it felt natural to move onto another type of teamgame based map. I had begun planning for this map by sketching out a few design layouts for specific rooms. I wanted this to be a decent CTF map, not just another drivespace filler, and my long-term goal for this map was to see it being played online on various iG servers. This is not made for LowGrav, and as I have not been able to play a real match with bots, due to the absence of bot pathing, I haven't been able to truly test how the gameplay is with more than just myself and a few mindless bots. Bot pathing may be added if I see a decent amount of people who ask for it. But because I have not bot pathed before it may turn out to be a long process. Since this is technically my third map, I think it's safe to say I've done a pretty good job with it. Personally I believe this map will play well with multiple opponents on a fast online server, even LAN. Although I made a reference to how many players this map should be able to support (6-16) I'm still not absolutly sure on the correct player load. It is a mid-sized map, with many corridors connecting to a mid-point that reaches out to both teams' central bases. Texture and Lighting was important to me as it's a learning experience for the maps to come. Hopefully anyone who reads this, plays it, and possibly even puts it in a servers map rotation will enjoy the gameplay.
