-- Technical Notes --

* First of all, this is a novice map. Well, it might be a slightly advanced novice map I suppose, but it's still my first (decent and completed) UT level. I'm still learning, so please don't butcher me if/when you notice any problems =)

* High polycount warning: The large center area is pretty detailed - with spikes on about 250 polys! - and you WILL encounter frame rate drops if your computer is on the slower side (well, like mine...) and there's a lot of action going on. Sorry, couldn't help myself. On the other hand, the performance problems might not even be noticeable on a faster machine - let me know how it runs.

* The map plays pretty well with bots, except for a couple of hitches: They won't use the moving ramps in the bases to get the Shield Belt (and if they do, it's completely accidental). Couldn't come up with any way of making it work, but I'll keep experimenting. And sometimes (has only happened twice) bots get stuck under the lifts leading to the UDamage ramp; not only _standing_ under them but floating in mid air! I really don't know why this happens.

-- Play notes --

* There are only two routes into each base, and the bases are easy to defend, so getting out with the flag is pretty tough. Also, if you're playing against bots, keep their skill level at Masterful or higher.

* Arroway has all standard weapons, but no Redeemer. Not really a Redeemer map in my opinion. The Flak Cannon and Rocket Launcher are located in the big center area, and if you want them you'll have to get out in the open and be an easy target for enemy snipers...

* There's a Keg O' Health and Invisibility hidden on the map - keep an eye on the bots and you'll find them.

* The map has several narrow ramps spanning over deep chasms. Watch your step.

-- Design Notes --

* As usual when I try to create a map, I didn't end up with anything even remotely alike what I had in mind to begin with. Arroway began as an industrial-type map with brick walls, dirt floors and rusty girders. But that looked so darn boring I sorta transformed it into its current and slightly Star-Warsy state. Maybe I overdid it a bit with all those unlit light trims everywhere, but what the heck.

* Finally, I must say that it feels kind of late debuting as a UT mapmaker now, with UT 2003 on its way and all. But hopefully I'll be able to apply what I've learned to create stuff for new Unreal titles as well. Anyway, all feedback is welcome, be it suggestions, complaints, death threats or even praise.
